I'm definitely not one to pass up a beverage. When it comes to exercise and nutrition, I'm a realist. I will enjoy good food and wine; but in exchange I make sure I balance it with exercise and healthier food choices the majority of the time.
I decided to challenge myself to no alcohol. For 3 weeks, I eliminated it completely. Here are some of the things I noticed happen:
• It contributed to me losing 4 lbs
• I had better nights sleep
• My skin and face were more plump and less dry
• I had much more energy
Then there was the obvious benefits. I felt good Saturday or Sunday morning after an evening out, while the rest of my friends were suffering haha!
While I don't plan cutting out alcohol altogether, the 3 week experiment has made me become more selective on when, what and how much I will drink in the future.
