With the weekend upon us, Friday night was a mental struggle when it came to not reaching for that beer or glass of wine. However, I will admit I am having a BIG battle with sugar cravings! At the end of the day, I just want chocolate. I never knew that would be my challenge! I did slip a few times this week, and Friday night was even more difficult. I caved and indulged in some chocolate. My reasoning, cutting out the usual Friday night drink plus having a sweet craving was just too much all at once. I don't want to associate negative feelings to healthy eating. So I allowed myself a treat.
While in the moment it tasted great, afterwards I felt defeated in my quest for cleaning up my eating this month. However, a slip up isn't the end of the world. Saturday is a new day, and I have running on the agenda. Reducing my sugar cravings will just have to be a work in progress, but I know I can do it!
